Celebrities are calling out for people to join Pass on the Hope project



Seven Thai people with distinguished roles in society were interviewed on stage at the Siam Paragon on 2 June 2009.
They challenged people to participate in the “Pass on the Hope” project that reaches out to underprivileged children.


Pacharasri Benjamas or Kalamae, the MC and a popular TV host is one of the people who participates in the “Pass on the Hope” project.” As a Hope ambassador, she is calling out to people to help Thailand underprivileged children as much as possible including children affected by HIV/AIDS and emergency disasters and those who lack educational opportunities.

Twelve celebrities from different social professions have agreed to their role as “Hope ambassador” including Parinda Hasdarngkul, Marketing Director of P&G (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Ornanong Panyawong Awakul, Miss Thailand 1992 and a former WVFT’s sponsored child, TV host and actress. She is calling out for Thai people to join “Pass on the Hope” project that reaches out to underprivileged children.

On 2 June 2009, at the “Pass on the Hope” charitable fashion show held on the 1st floor of Fashion Hall, Siam Paragon, 7 Hope ambassadors out of a total of 12 ambassadors appeared on stage and invited others to participate in WVFT’s crucial project. The objective is to invite people to sponsor an additional 3,000 underprivileged children through WVFT’s child sponsorship program.

WVFT is now helping over 120,000 underprivileged children together with their families and communities in 46 provinces.  By the middle of 2009, there are still 11,000 children needing urgent help. These children are poor and affected by HIV/AIDS and they lack educational opportunities.

Miss Supaluck Umpujh, Vice Chairperson of Siam Paragon Development Co., Ltd. and Vice Chairperson of The Mall Group Co., Ltd., another “Hope ambassador” stated, “Child sponsorship not only helps to improve the children’s lives, we also derive happiness by helping our own fellow human beings.”

The “Pass on the Hope” project charitable fashion show was privileged to have Khun Unnop Kittikul and Khun Panadda Wongpudee as the MC.
